The Weekly Elevator Pitch

Starting this week I'm introducing a new section in my weekly email called "The Weekly Elevator Pitch".

Why?

I like the idea of giving readers and other people the chance to promote their own products or services in my email, while at the same time introducing a way to financially support my email (which so far has been entirely free, and will remain free to read as of now).

What do I get for it?

✣ I'll write 3-4 sentences (see example below) about your app, service or product. I'll keep it fair and straight to the point. The goal is to keep it authentic and easy to read, more like a mini-review, less like an ad. But since you pay for it, it will be always in your favor. I wouldn't write about it in the first place if I didn't like it. To keep it simple and authentic, there will be no review process. You'll get what you get. That's the beauty of it.

EXAMPLE:

✣ There's only one WEP (Weekly Elevator Pitch) slot in each weekly email. You won't compete with anyone else. All eyes on you.

✣ My email with your ad reaches 19.000+ subscribers via email directly, with an average of 50-60% open rate. You can of course give me a specific tracking/campaign URL for your link.

✣ Your ad will also be displayed on on my blog as the archive version, permanently and forever (for new people who sign up and browse the archive), so you'll keep seeing traffic trickle in even after the email newsletter was sent.

✣ You'll get the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting an independent weekly email newsletter with a passionate readership of designers, founders & makers.

How much does it cost?

$599 USD to book one of my "Weekly Elevator Pitch" slots. (see below what you'll get for it).

How does it work?

1. You send me an email (business@vanschneider.com) expressing interest in purchasing one of my 'Weekly Elevator Pitch' slots including an introduction or link to your product, service. It can be an app, a physical product, whatever it might be. Then we take it from there.
2. I'll review your product/service to make sure it fits my readers interest (this is very important to me)
3. If we have a deal, I'll give you a weekly WEP slot and send you a link to pay (via CreditCard or PayPal to keep it easy).

IMPORTANT: My readers are incredibly important to me. I'm not accepting any ad just because someone pays for it. I want to make sure its interesting to me, and interesting to my readers. This should be a win/win/win for everyone, which is why I will be very picky on who and what I'll include.
