Instead of linking to a dead-end page that says “Portfolio coming soon,” take advantage of our attention. You have the website in your bio and we clicked it, after all. Give us some value:
Link up your Twitter and Instagram. Add your email address. Write a quick, bulleted list that tells us what you’re doing and working on now.
Even better, embed Instagram feed for a sneak preview of your work.
Even better, drop in your favorite recent experiments to give us a glimpse of who you are.
Even better, add a simple grid of images to tease your latest project.
Better yet, write a two-sentence introduction that sums up what you do.
See what you just did?
You just launched a working prototype of your website.
It’s no longer “under construction,” a dead link that takes us nowhere.
